What is OpenAthens?
An OpenAthens account allows you to access the library's online resources while offsite (when not on hospital's network).
Who can use this service? Is there a cost?
This service is available to all employees of South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) and affiliated organisations. This service is provided at no cost.
How can I register and activate my OpenAthens account?
Set up your account by completing the registration form, select the form according to your hospital.
Once registered an email is sent with your login and password and a link to activate your access.
You will be asked to create a password. Your password should be between 8-20 characters and include both letters and non-letters (eg numbers, symbols).
The Library staff can also provide an OpenAthens Overview education session, to assist in using all eResources (1 hour) on request.
